Spinal Adjustment

A spinal adjustment, also known as chiropractic adjustment or spinal manipulation, is a safe, hands-on treatment used to improve spinal motion and enhance your body’s physical function. During an adjustment, the chiropractor applies a controlled, precise force to a specific joint in the spine that may be restricted or misaligned.

This gentle correction helps restore proper alignment, reduce nerve interference, relieve pain, and support the body’s natural ability to heal. Spinal adjustments are commonly used to treat conditions such as back pain, neck pain, headaches, and joint discomfort.

At Fifer Family Chiropractic, our adjustments are tailored to each patient’s needs—whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing chronic pain, or maintaining overall wellness.

Extremity Adjustment/Manipulation

Extremity adjustment, also known as extremity manipulation, focuses on joints outside of the spine—such as the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles. Just like the spine, these joints can become misaligned or restricted due to injury, overuse, poor posture, or repetitive stress.

At Fifer Family Chiropractic, we use safe, targeted techniques to restore proper alignment and mobility to these joints. Extremity adjustments help reduce pain, improve range of motion, support better movement patterns, and may even prevent future injuries.

This type of care is especially beneficial for athletes, individuals with physically demanding jobs, or anyone experiencing joint discomfort in the arms or legs.

Electro-stimulation Therapy

Electro-stimulation therapy (also known as electrical muscle stimulation or E-stim) is a therapeutic treatment that uses mild electrical currents to stimulate muscles and nerves. Small adhesive pads are placed on the skin over targeted areas, delivering controlled pulses that help reduce pain, decrease muscle tension, and promote healing.

At Fifer Family Chiropractic, we often use E-stim in conjunction with chiropractic adjustments to enhance recovery, improve circulation, and support the body’s natural healing process. This therapy is especially effective for conditions such as muscle spasms, inflammation, acute injuries, and chronic pain.

E-stim is gentle, non-invasive, and well-tolerated by most patients—providing both immediate relief and long-term benefits.

Low Level Laser Therapy

Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), also known as cold laser therapy, is a non-invasive treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to stimulate cellular healing, reduce inflammation, and relieve pain. When combined with scalar wave technology, the therapy is enhanced by incorporating subtle energy frequencies that help balance the body’s energy field and promote deeper healing at the cellular level.

At Fifer Family Chiropractic, we use advanced low-level laser devices equipped with scalar wave technology to target areas of pain, injury, or dysfunction. This therapy is gentle, drug-free, and often used to support recovery from soft tissue injuries, joint pain, nerve irritation, and chronic inflammation.

Patients typically feel relaxed during treatment, and many report noticeable improvements in pain, range of motion, and overall well-being after just a few sessions.

Spinal Decompression Therapy

Spinal decompression therapy is a non-surgical, gentle treatment designed to relieve pressure on the spine and promote healing of damaged discs and surrounding structures. Using a specialized traction table, the spine is slowly and safely stretched to create space between the vertebrae, which helps reduce nerve compression, improve disc hydration, and enhance nutrient flow to injured areas.

At Fifer Family Chiropractic, we use spinal decompression therapy to treat conditions such as herniated or bulging discs, sciatica, degenerative disc disease, and chronic lower back or neck pain. The therapy is comfortable and relaxing, with most patients experiencing a gentle stretching sensation during their session.

Spinal decompression is often combined with chiropractic care and other therapies to support long-term relief and improved spinal function.
