Chiropractic Services
The conditions that chiropractors treat are as varied and as vast as the nervous system itself. All chiropractors use a standard procedure of examination to diagnose a patient’s condition and arrive at a course of treatment. Doctor’s of Chiropractic use the same time-honored methods of consultation, case history, physical examination, laboratory analysis and advanced imaging (x-ray , MRI, CAT scan, etc.) as any other doctor. In addition, they provide a careful chiropractic structural examination, paying particular attention to the spine.
What Can You Expect During a Typical Office Visit?
After Dr. Fifer’s initial evaluation, he will discuss his diagnosis and treatment plan with you. The primary course of care will be specific chiropractic adjustments. This will help return individual spinal bones to their proper motion and position. There are many different ways to adjust the spine, and Dr. Fifer will utilize the technique that is best for your condition. Chiropractic adjustments are safer than aspirin, muscle relaxers, or surgery. Dr. Fifer may recommend additional procedures or suggest other ways to advance your course of treatment. These include ice, heat, electrical muscle stimulation, nutritional advice, stretches, or exercises.
